MARJORIE MADDOX

 

 

d Marjorie Maddox has published 11 poetry collections, including True, False, None of the Above (Poiema Poetry Series and Illumination Book Award Medalist); Transplant, Transport, Transubstantiation (Yellowglen Prize); and Perpendicular As I (Sandstone Book Award). She is the author of the short-story collection What She Was Saying (Fomite Press), and the co-editor of Common Wealth: Contemporary Poets on Pennsylvania (PSU Press 2005). She has written four books for children, including Rules of the Game: Baseball Poems (Boyds Mills Press), A Crossing of Zebras: Animal Packs in Poetry (Boyds Mills Press), A Man Named Branch: The True Story of Baseball's Great Experiment (Schoolwide Inc.) and Inside Out: Poems on Writing Poems (Schoolwide Inc.). She has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize in both poetry and fiction. She is a Sage Graduate Fellow of Cornell University (MFA) and Director of Creative Writing at Lock Haven University. She lives with her husband and two children in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
