My Supper Taint, Y'all

Near you you have
a dish that could
be sugar or that could
be soot.  Your finger-
tips and tiny tongue will determine it.

But they won't peel
oranges and lemons,

say the bells of St. Clement’s——
who’s peeling them for you?
The scent that blindly blossoms is heaven-sent.

Near you you have
a head of a woman
that’s dead.  That’s for
a meditation.  You blush from
feeling it repeatedly give you the good feeling.

But it won't peel
oranges and lemons,

say the bells of St. Clement’s——

who’s peeling them for you?
The scent that blindly blossoms is heaven-sent.

Near you you have
your silver salver
with nothing on it.
The truth is it is very clean.
You look into the truth and see it’s you.
