Cork

Eat in Silence

______

Cork

My heart's wanderings

and soul’s secrets

are bound up

in this city.

Its ancient hills

echo their whispers

and  murmur

"Siúil go ciúin ar

chnoc's cuan"

on hill and harbour

walk calmly.

Eat in Silence

I would like to

take a magic marker

with me to dinner

and when I listen to your lies

rub my marker over your face

so all that’s left are your shoulders.
