Catherine Phil MacCarthy

Catherine Phil MacCarthy’s most recent collection The Invisible Threshold was published by Dedalus Press Dublin in 2012 and shortlisted for the Irish Times Poetry Now Award in 2013. Her collections include This Hour of the Tide (Salmon, 1994), and with Blackstaff Press, the blue globe (1998), and Suntrap (2007), along with One Room an Everywhere, a novel, (2003). She received the Fish International Poetry Prize in 2010, and the Dromineer Poetry Prize in 2012. She was awarded an artist’s residency at Centre Culturel Irlandais in Paris for Spring 2013 and is a former editor of Poetry Ireland Review. She is the recipient of The Lawrence O Shaughnessy Award in Poetry 2014 from the University of St Thomas, St Paul, Minnesota.
